LG and Car Kit, How do I remove Car Kit

My husband dropped his LG VX8300. Now both screens say "Car Kit" on them. Everything else works on the phone except for the microphone and the earpiece and speakers. Does anyone know how to fix this thing.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I can be a charging port issue. Try checking it for debris and cleaning it with an alcohol swab and some canned air.

Car Kit is a message that indicates damage to the device. 99.9% of the time indicating water damage.
