Too many guides!!!

I've got a 1.0.2 on T-Mobile. I would like to upgrade to 1.1.2. I see people saying follow the guides, but there are around 34 stickies at the top of this thread, none of which say, "Upgrade to unlocked a T-Mobile 1.0.2 to T-Mobile 1.1.2"

I can't follow which guide to follow, nor what is even the "latest" information. Is there a definitive Wiki on this stuff?

plus if you have any problems, Drakkhen is always there to help you out.
You may have to virginize your phone first depending on how it was unlocked under 1.0.2
