3G Tarrytown NY

I was thinking of switching to AT&T for 3G (and to consolidate lines) but decided to test 3G coverage in my area. Using a prepaid SIM, I get 3G signal at my house using a Sierra AirCard, but not at my office (which is in Tarrytown NY at the intersection of I-87/I-287/Saw Mill Parkway).

Is there anyone else using 3G in the Tarrytown NY area? Is the signal that weak in buildings that I drop down to EDGE?

Thanks!
Jim

Take a look at the coverage map. AT&T has a big hole in Westchester and covers just a sliver along 287. Practically useless if you live and/or work in Westchester.

I gave up on waiting and got Verizon EVDO.

I have also been waiting for AT&T 3G in Rockland (right across the river from you) and decided to go with Sprint as they rolled out their 3G (EVDO Rev A) and I have been happy. It is work looking into.

AT&T does have 3G where I work in Parsippany, NJ but nothing in terms of expansion has been noticed.
