Listening/chosing a BJ II ringtone

I want to go through quickly and here each default ring tone
on the phone before choosing which to use.
I do the following:
Settings - Sounds - Ring Tone
I then scroll through the individual tones one at a time (using d-pad),
but they don't play.
Even when i highlight a tone, click MENU and then PLAY, I still do not
here the tone.
Am i missing something?

you gotta wait a bit then they actually play.
