I followed the directions as well not sure why it's not working through the BT stack, no big deal though as long as the USB works.

in general, if you can get passed the connection point, where the phone allows you to connect and the left soft button changed to 'disconnect' with 'Connected" on top of the screen, then this patch did exactly what it was supposed to and the problem is elsewhere... your phone in ics mode works like a router, so try setting your computer to 192.168.0.102, your dns and gateway should both be 192.168.0.1 which is the phone's IP address. |

You are being punished by the phone gods, cause you got too good a deal on your BJ II Is there going to be a way later today for you to try it on a 2nd computer, or an XP computer. It sounds like its correct on the phone (unless you didn't do Step 2 above or maybe try another App Unlock program), and something going on with the computer settings (did you see in the one post back a few the comments that in some cases you may need to hard code in DNS settings?). How did that computer last connect with the internet? |

OK, I actually just did this. I did a hard reset, used the SDA application unlock. Installed the ICS software via my SD card, ran the certs from My documents, rebooted, and then attempted to connect. I get the same behavior, cell shows connected and packets sent from PC but none received. Also, I presume I should change the Network Connection to MEdia Net from AT&T IMS. When using AT&T IMS it always comes back with "Error the remote party has ended this connection". |

However anyways Chudy2 u r the man!!! I was about to return the BJII, cause when I had the BJI everything was running smooth. Can anyone help me getting this going on my vista system ??? |
I tried adding back the BT DUN hack that's been floating around. The DUN profile does appear and I can connect to it from my laptop and or devices, but it can't ever connect - it just sits at the 'dialing' or 'login' screen until it times out, while it works perfectly with another phone with a stock BT DUN profile.
and it should be banned

I still cannot get it to work on my BJ2 so I am still trying to undo some registry settings I changed before your CAB came in the picture. I am using Win 2003 Server on my laptop but I dont think it should matter because the connection part is similar to Win XP. I have done the following : 1. appunlock (not the SDA or whatever unlock) 2. restart 3. sec....cab 4. restart 5. BJ.WM6.ICS.Enable.cab 6. restart 7. cert cab 8. restart Internet Sharing app Connects, both USB and BT Pan but I dont get any IP. So I did a manual IP config 192.168.0.100/255.255.255.0/192.168.0.1/DNS 192.168.0.1 for both USB and BT Pan and still no go. I can connect using USB DUN but thats an OUTDATED way and it should be banned ![]() Any Ideas, Suggestions???? Please help.. |

the 169* ip is because the computer for some reason doesnt get an IP from the phone itself....the phone acts as a nat'ing router in a way and the cell radio is the one that gets an external ip if all works your phone should get a 192.168.0.1** IP if it doesn't work try hardcoding this on your computer: IP: 192.168.0.102 DNS: 192.168.0.1 gateway: 192.168.0.1 |

the XP laptop is actually more important since thats when I actually need ICS (when Im mobile)
