So I have the opportunity to buy a used s710a, and was wondering how to check the lifetimer (if there even is this function). Does the lifetimer just tell you how many hours it has been used for?

Also how much use would be ok if i were to pay 60 CAD$ for it?

The life timer counts the airtime you talk when using the phone...other than that..it does not record the time the phone was used.

Use the secret menu using this method.

>*<<*<*< (>, < are directional buttons and * is for the * on the number pad. Not sure if you need the last extra <)

Goto service test and than on the bottom call timer.

if u are paying $60 for it expect a 7/10 condition and the usage really varies..personally i dunt use mine a lot..since it is an old phone i dunt think it even matters to check it or not i mean i'm sure its going to be >400hours

i'm looking one for myself mind sharing where u plannign to find one??

if i wanted to enter that secret code for the secret menu where would i start to type it at? Standby?

i always do it at the main screen...just tested in messaging and it doesn't seem to work...so i'm guessing mainscreen..
