How do I restore a 1.0.2 properly ?

I am using iTunes 7.3

Download 1.0.2 Firmware

DFU Mode, Hold sleep and home for 10 seconds, then release sleep while continuing to hold home. iTunes will recognize an iPhone in restore mode.

Press shift while clicking restore and then choose the downloaded 1.0.2 firmware file.

Do I do the step with holding sleep and home while its plugged into the computer ?
