I want to activate a user on a blackberry on rogers (8700r)

I am aware they will get a @rogers.blackberry.net email address, but my question is, are they able to get a re-direct, or forward or sync from their current @sympatico.ca address ?

Basically, will I be able to point their @sympatico.ca to the @rogers.blackberry.net address ?

thanks for your help

It is really best NOT to use the @rogers.blackberry.net address for several reasons. First, the only way to see that email is on the BB, so if the network or RIM goes down,no email. Second, they don't own the address and it can be changed at any time. Third, you are setting yourself up to receive tons of unwanted SPAM as that address isn't filtered. And last, in the business world, you don't want the REPLT TO address to be to that device - not professional.

Why not set up the email on BIS? Works like a POP3 and mail is automatically delivered about every 15 minutes or so. Much easier to maintain as well.

i just want their name.lastname@sympatico.ca address to be the reply.

so should the bis allow me to add the name.lastname@sympatico.ca account via pop ?

and its for personal use not professional so its okay.

again, the simple ability to read their ISP provider's email(sympatico in this case) is all we are looking for.

so add the account from the bis ?

I would try setting it up on BIS rather than a forward to the carrier address.
