Looking to take a trip to Germany next summer. Wanted to see what the best plans would be for cheap calling to America, as well as best for calling internally.

Your probably better off getting some sort of plan there with your local provider. Nothing is cheap in Germany, except beer! They don't have voice/data plans here like in the States. But if you get a local provider's pre-paid card, all incoming calls are free.

Unrecht. Smobil will sell you a SIM for 15€ (or less - until 1/12/08 they're twofer) with 10€ airtime on it, and two Smobil customers can talk to one another for 1¢ per minute.

If that's too steep for your blood, you probably oughtn't to be playing.
