I have a customer with Verizon service and a Blackberry Curve. He uses 1and1's hosted Exchange service, which does not include Blackberry Enterprise server. He has asked me whether or not he will be able to sync his Blackberry with Outlook given this configuration. I've told him that I believe he will be able to do a USB cable sync, but I'm not certain, because Exchange impacts the way that Outlook profile data is stored (no PST, only OST). He's also interested in wireless sync, but I don't know if Verizon offers their Wireless Sync product for Blackberry.

Can anyone offer clarification? I've considered calling Verizon, but I don't normally like to ask the guy trying to sell me something if it will work for my needs.

Verizon does not offer a BB Curve.
You are correct, he can use a VZW Blackberry to sync with Outlook using the USB Cable and the Rim Desktop Software (BIS service).
