Today was a ridiculous day at the store. I had this crazy guy come in, older man. Came in 2 weeks ago asking about phones for him and his wife, wound up being a completely paranoid idiot and worried about everything to do with the new account. Came in with a stack of questions regarding the TOS booklet, and a list of demends. I addressed these concerns andhe came in recently and hooked up the lines. Now he called today demanding in writing our "roaming policiy". He wants roaming detailed in writing and wants our policy on it. I explained there is no roaming and no long distance nationwide and that it is in all of our literature and national advertisements. He then asks if he comes in if I will AMMEND the TOS booklet!! WTF?

Second guy comes in, has a Nokia 8800. Wants replacement batteries for it, we dont have them. I tell him this. He then asks why and I tell him it is a model that we never supported and never sold, and never will. He then goes on a tirade about how all this has happened since Clinton's been out of office and then says this country is going to sh*t. I tell him I dont see the connection between the Clinton Administration and AT&T not supporting a device it has never sold. He then storms off saying "the entire country is full of fu**ing Commies" WTF???

I was working Friday and had an older Italian lady come in put her on the phone with XBM and after she was done she said XBM needs to work on their perfection, I then said there is no such thing as perfection. She then goes on a 45min rant about how God is going to destroy the earth soon and make a perfect world with one ruler and apparently I'm going to hell due my fornication issues. Says how she didn't like Clinton but prayed for him while he was in the hospital...blah blah blah. Oh and only 315 people are going to be in this new system. Yea needless to say cell phones won't be making it either apparently. It was a 2 cigarette post rant for my break after that.

had a guy come in, this like jamaican guy. real big, walks in all pissed off, comes up to me and goes 'i wanna talk to a manager!' im like , 'right now our manager is on lunch, anything i can help you with' hes like 'my bill is so high! i cannot take these insane charges! im gonna hit somebody'

so i go about asking his number, and him saying how thats not important, and then me explaining how it is so i can bring up his account, and him saying how i dont need to, and me explaining that its better that i do, and then hearing more of him saying the 'im gonna hit somebody'

finally i get his number out of him, (now picture that this whole time, he is literally staring me in the eyes like trying to intimidate me) finally he says 'im gonna hit somebody' again, and i look him in the eye and honestly am like 'seriously, dude, stop it. youre being immmature as hell and if you say 'im gonna hit somebody' one more time, im gonna 'call somebody' and make sure your escorted from our store. never threaten me again. understand?

after that, the guy just shut up and was very calm.

Halarious stories.... Had a customer came in to a store i used to work for... wanting to do a return... the box was smash, the phone smelled like urine, and the imei sticker was peeling off...

long story short, the imei sticker did not match the phone imei... He made a story about his girl lying to him, and he was played. Then he showed me some videos of him and his ladies (adult) from his phone... This was in a span of 15 minutes.... crazy... that was that....

When I worked for at&t in the South Florida area we once had a span that we had to call the police almost everyday for a month to remove customers from the store. Not gangsters or bikers or white trash, normal everyday people who just wouldn't leave until they were satisfied with some level service that would never be provided at a store level.

Not related to work - but I too have had guys i knew show me adult pictures and videos they had on their phone (either of "their lady" or them and their lady.

Kind of disturbing...is this a new tread.
