I have recently been given a w810i from one of my freinds. He owned it for almost 2 years, and never had a problem with the camera. I have owned another w810i and this problem never happened to me either.
Recently, while in camera mode I hold down the camera button and a little green box appears. The camera will focus but after the box goes green it makes some beeping noise, and goes back to the main camera screen. Holding down the camera button doesn't take a picture anymore. I have been trying to figure out what it means. As well, while holding down the camera button a small green dot flashes in the left hand corner. Any one know of how to fix this problem or any advice?

green dot flashes in corner?? reminds me of recording video.. anyways wierd enough my friend with a k790a told me the same thing about his phone so i told him to let me c but it worked...lolz maybe its just a bug for the day try again later =DD

Sounds like the phone is focusing but not wanting to take a picture. Could be your camera button is loose. That beeping sound indicates that the phone has auto-focused and is ready to take the picture. This usually happens when you half-press the button. When trying to auto-focus there will be a flashing green dot in the corner. When it's done the dot will stop flashing and be steady.

Maybe your memory is full, i remember have that problem for a little while on my first sony ericsson w810i... As im on my 3rd now... I solved it about a year ago and cant really remember.. I think either your memory card is full or you have it set on save to > phone memory, or your camera button is broken.. I cant really remember but if i do then ill pm you or reply here. Sorry dewd.
