A question about Cect 599

Hey I'm thinking about buying a CECT 599 off ebay and wondered if anyone else from australia could tell me a few things about it before I buy it.

First, does it come with a usb cable? With this usb cable can you drag and drop files onto the phone or onto the computer (say for example if I wanted to put some pictures I took with the phones camera onto my computer), or is there some sort of software required?

Also, can I install third party games onto the phone, ie does it have Java? I read something on these forums about the p168 (an older iphone clone made by CECT), that the p168 did have Java but you couldn't install other games on it because it had no internal memory and you can't put Java games on flash cards. Seeing as the CECT 599 is basically an upgraded version of the p168, is that the same?

Another thing, does it come with an australian charger/adaptor? Would that depend on the seller? If not, what would I have to say to the local-electronics-shop guy for him to give me the right adaptor (ie specifications)? I bought a dodgy mp3/mp4 player off ebay before and it charged up using a usb cable attached to an Australian adaptor in the wall, is it the same with the cect 599? If I didn't want to buy an adaptor could I just plug the usb cable into my computer and it charge up like an Ipod?

One more thing, did you have any problems with it (the Virgin Mobile person said I probably wouldn't be able to get MMS or any kind of internet working but I'm relatively ok with that.)? Was the interface/OS laggy or difficult? Would you recommend me to buy it or not overall, taking into consideration that I can't afford anything over $200 inc postage?

Anyway, thanks for any help and sorry for that big rant and list of questions.

Max

My friend got his and will get it next week. iPhones dont work here in canada so we got to go with one of the clones.

Anyway, i'm also looking at the p168, and had a few questions about that too. Can you load external games on it as well? And what resolution is the screen and what maximum resolution can the mp4 player on it play up to? I have the same questions about resolution for the cect 599.

I was going to choose the cect 599 over the cect p168 because of the accelerometer in the cect 599, but if the p168 has a bigger screen, can play third party games, has a higher resolution screen and can play higher resolution mp4's, then I'd choose the p168. Well thanks for any help anyway.

P168 does not have Java so you can't install games.

Another down side to this phone is that because there is no keypad if you ring somewhere where you need to press 1 for something or press 2 for something else YOU CANT as there is no keypad

OMG, please do not post nonsense...
The CECT 599 does have a dial pad but it is a touchscreen!
When you are calling and need to tap a number, you just have to tap the phone-icon and the dial pad appears...

If you need more info considering this phone, feel free to join my forum at
