Has anyone heard any news if we will see a upgrade to 6.1?

Yes, it was announced by the CEO of Microsoft at the CTIA Tradeshow keynote speech in October that the BJII will support a new Microsoft feature to be used by Corp. IT departments but that it will require an upgraded Windows Mobile 6 that will be applied through the existing built-in WM6 upgrade feature by late Q1 or in Q2, 2008. He specifically showed the BJII phone and said it is the 1st Smartphone that is ready to be upgraded once the software is finalized. Its pretty neat what it can do based on demos done on stage I saw, but It will cost Corps. some big bucks no doubt.

where have you been?

Copy / Paste (finally!)
Domain Enroll in Settings (Enrolling in a domain will connect your device with company resources.)
New home screen (pan left and right to check out missed calls, notifications like email, sms, etc.)
Change Master Security Code
Added text input settings
Recent Programs when pressing Start menu
Threaded SMS!
When you compose an email, or SMS, and start typing the name of the contact in the "To:" field, the contact names finally pop up like Windows Mobile Professional!
Internet Explorer now lets you define a homepage, and also zoom in and out using a nice and clean interface
Task Manager now shows CPU usage as a whole, and also lists it by process
Internet Explorer offers 6 zoom modes and copy / paste functionality
IE also uses a new font, which looks worlds better
ActiveSync will now try to automatically configure your Exchange settings once you enter an email address
Wi-Fi indicator in the status bar, just as in Windows Mobile Professional
New "Vista" home screen and theme

Don't hold your breath. I hope I am wrong, but if the WM6 update for the BJI is any barometer, it might take longer than it should.
