Hello all this is my first post because you were recommended for this particular problem. Here is my situation. I have the verizon cdma v3m pink razr. I would like to flash it so my mom can use it with her service. Seeing i have tmobile its useless to me and i dont want pink anyway. I called cricket and they told me that i would have to pay for them to flash it over and i dont want to pay for it. I have a very good understanding of test pointing and stuff for gsm but cdma is a unknown frontier for me. I have all the programs for my v3r and v557 and pebl but i have no clue what i am doing with cdma. So here are the questions i have.

1. Is there a monsterpack for cricket for the v3m?
2. what software would i need to preform the flash?
3. Is there any unlocking involved?
4. I found a thread about a alltell monsterpack and i dl it. Will that help?
5. She uses text messaging but im not sure if she needs the tf port to work.

Thanks to you all for the help. I really appriciate it rather than racking my brains on stuff that wont work.

there is a cricket V3m firmware out there try www.humpa.com/vzw

The prog you will need to perform the flash is rsd lite 3.2 google it.

then just use rsd lite to flash the phone.

and there is no unlocking involved.

Cricket never sold the V3m only the V3c. There is no flash for it, unless you want to take the generic DST V3m monster and manually enter/edit the necessary data and support files (llike PRL, ERI, etc), and perhaps you preferences of features thru SEEM edits.

Also, do not use old RSD versions like 3.2. I just solved a problem for a guy using 3.6 (also way old) by merely giving him RSD Lite v4.1.
and YES it is real contrary some BS out there and NO it has no bugs, that was v4.0.

Here is the Generic DST V3m Monster:

RSD Lite v4.1 can be found here:
(uploading it here failed!)

Also, just in case you need it, here is another post of mine on another forum that leads you right to the very latest Motorola drivers and Radiocomm versions:

Okay, I'll drop a big huge bomb for you. It's called Motorola Product Support Tool (PST). This bad boy will come with ALL you need for your basic flash. Once you got your monster pack file, just go into the phone programmer portion of PST and save your NAM, ERI, PRL, etc. Just whatever you can save with the PST, save. Then use MultiFlashFlex (included in the installed folder of PST, not the start menu shortcuts. Might be a good idea to put a shortcut in the start menu anyways) On the box on the right with the checkable boxes, check 1, 3, and 4. It's a CDMA phone so option 2 don't apply. After you finish with the flash, use phone programmer and reprogram all the info you backed up.
Unlocking only applies to GSM phones. "Locked" CDMA phones are "locked" because the firmware on them denies that function/ability on the phone. And generally you override that firmware by flashing to get that function/ability back.
Read about a monster pack? Lol. Download it, you need that to flash your phone.
Tf port should be accessible by default. If you restore the NAM then you should be able to txt fine.

You said your mom could use it with HER service. If that's different than Verizon, make sure you let whatever company know it's a ESN not in their current range (meaning they have to make an exception to cover it). They might not flash it for you (hopefully) and will just get it going with their service, but you never know. If it turns out that way, don't bother restoring the NAM, ERI, PRL, etc. Just flash it and bring it in and tell them you want it activated on their network.

I did exactly what you want to do. It wasnt terribly hard.

Most of the info is here. There is a thread on it too.
