Touch not reading memory card

My Touch will not recognize my memory card that came with it. I checked the settings of the storage card and it is indicating zeros for all. I have 40% battery remaining - does it lock out the memory card with less than 50% battery remaining? Is there a setting that maybe changed somehow?

Have you tried a hard reset of your phone? I had the same thing happen to me twice in the last 24 hours. When I reset the phone everything is fine.

BTW, the first time that this happened was when the phone was plugged in for 2 hours and the battery was at 80% so I doubt that it is because of battery life.

I did a hard reset and it did not work and it will not even read the memory card. I guess back to the dealer it goes...

Happened to me when I first put a 2GB card in, the one that came with it. I had to take it out and reposition it three times before it actually popped up on the Touch screen. Each time, it looked and felt like it was in properly, albeit a bit of a tight fit, and each time it clicked into place like it belonged.

I agree. They can seem to be in all the way but not be. Try taking it all the way out and then pushing back in with the phone off making sure it clicks into place.
