Hi Guys,

Is it possible to do a backup using bluetooth?? I am able to connect via BT but when I open the backup app, all of the icons are greyed out. Was anyone able to do this?

Backup is definitely possible via bluetooth. I can get the backup done but when I restore I always get an error whether it's via bluetooth or via cable.

I have a similar problem (with TDK BT PC card) .... backup is greyed out ... but synching ok (on a good day ...)

Which firmware do you have ? I wonder if these problems are fixed now ....

I checked on SE web site and found out the hard way that it is not possible to do a backup/restore using anything else than the USB cradle.

Anybody else want to confirm this??? Please don't all answer at the same time!!

I'm using the internal BT of the Sony PCG-C1MZX coupled with Sony's Bluespace 1.1 software. The firmware of my P800 is still R1B. Synchronization works perfectly as does file push, modem, and serial connection. I was able to perform the backup function via BT but the restore never worked for me. Even the USB connection had a faulty restore.
