Okay i bought some parts from ebay and cnn to try and convert my 8801 to a sirocco 8800. All my parts have come in and im going to be showing what what worked and what didnt work. My biggest problem right now is that nither the 8800 nor the 8801 attenna fit into the sirocco midplate -__- !

So any advice on what to do right there would be nice. So far everything is a straight swap! and everything fits perfect im just stuck on that stupid midplate. Welll ill be posting up pictures some time today so come back later

This first picture is with a oem sirocco charger unit. The regular one from the 8801 fits just fine but since i bought it i might as well use it. It does look smaller though

the 2 attenas that dont do jack

I've done the 8801 > 8800(regular) housing swap. I had to shave down the original 8801 antenna for it to fit.

as funny as it would look. I've consider just changing the front to the updated Sirocco. but I'm not sure how to help you as I've given up the housing swap after my first completion. it was a headache
