As far as I know can't you just restore to 1.1.1 in itunes, then sell it or jailbreak it again.

Why not just delete all content and settings through your iPhone?

Settings, General, Reset, Erase all Content and Settings

You can just download the 1.1.1 firmware (several stickies have the links), put the iPhone in DFU mode, then in iTunes right-click on the "update" button and select the 1.1. firmware.

But that's if you want to restore it to 1.1.1 and make sure it's factory-fresh.

i guess i can consider my question answered. i went ahead w/ the reset all settings method and it wiped out all the call time, etc. appz that i installed from the installer app stayed though. other than that it was pretty factory fresh.
