Upgrading WM5 to WM6 with unlocked Dash

Hi, I have T.Mobile Dash which i had unlocked and now I'm using it on the cingular/att network. On my Dash I have original HTC software nothing from t.mobile. Will upgrading to WM6 be safe ? I mean will I still have everything unlocked and with HTC firmware ??

yes, it would still be unlocked, but you may have to reload some 3 rd party programs.
