VoiceDial on 8100 or 4900?

Is there ANY way to use a headset to program VoiceDial for the numbers?
When I try to do it with headset plugged in I am told i can't do it. This was the case with my 4900 too 
Please help!

sorry to say but u have to take the headset out for voicedial recording. this happened to me with my 5150 and the 5300. i think they do this so there wil be no distortion. but on the plus after u record the voicedial u can use the headset to recall the name when upress talk.
