Sorry if the answer is already out there, but there are a ton of posts for me to scan.

I have a sealed iphone, the production week is 42. Is this definitely version 1.1.1? And can I confidently advertise it as such without opening it?

I wouldn't say "definitely". Apple WAS shipping 1.1.2 OTB in Week 42-44 from SOME plants, but not all of them. I'd say your odds are, roughly, 90/10. Maybe even 92/8 or 93/7. High probability, but not "definitely".

FWIW, as I posted about a few days ago, I ran into a Week 37 with 1.1.2 OTB.

Given the Week #, I would have bet any amount of money it had 1.1.1 on it, and would have lost that bet obviously.
