Iphone Sound and Video Problem

So I was looking at other outdated threads about their iphone video and music playback problems. Mine is still skipping and returning to the home ipod screen for video playback. As for music it skips to the next song.
Is anyone still having this problem because no one is talking about it. Do I have a messed up iphone or people solved the problem because it's annoying as hell.
