1.1.2 getting slow

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have been using 1.1.2 for a while now. It was fast but now it ia getting slow and lagging. And I never have been able to get my bluetooth working. I was thinking of going back to 1.1.1 or reinstalling 1.1.2. Is there an easy way to reinstall 1.1.2 or do I have to go through the whole process again (down to 102)?

gotta downgrade back to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 and then install oktaprep; upgrade back to 1.1.2 and then jailbreak

that's what I thought. Thanks MacGeek

p.s. How many (what kind) of third party apps did you install on 1.1.2?

There is a direct line correlation between wonkiness and the number of third party (cr)apps installed IMHO; and with 1.1.2 not having a direct restore to 1.1.2 without 1.1.1 downgrade -- I recommend you install *no* third party apps on 1.1.2, until that is possible. (Or a bare minimum -- no 'exploring' 3rd party apps with 1.1.2...especially ones like customize, et al)... IMHO

i have quite a few 3rd party apps installed
customizefive dice, iBlackjack, light, lights off, iLevel, iSolitare, Labrynth, Soduko, WeDict, Drop Copy, iSplit, Books, iSwitcher, MIM, Toggle, Stumbler, Garf, BlockPuzzle

Wow that seems like a lot now that I typed them out. I don't use a lot of them so I guess I can uninstall them. But I need to get my BT working. That is the important think. I might stay with 1.1.1 and see how that goes.

So I got it back to 1.1.1 but now anysim 1.2u wont work. now what? Do I have to go down to 1.0.2 then up again?

I think once you use AnySim, you don't have to use it again. The affects are permanent.

AnySIM doesn't unlock a particular firmware - All the changes that anySIM makes on your phone is on the baseband side.

When you DFU downgrade your phone to 1.1.1, the baseband actually doesn't downgrade. So, you won't have to run anySIM again - However, 1.1.1 is not compatible with 4.02 baseband. So, you'll have to upgrade and jailbreak at 1.1.2 before you'll be able to use your unit as a phone.

If you want to use 1.1.1 on its native firmware, you'll have to dowgrade the baseband to 3.14 and the firmware to 1.0.2 (virginize), and then upgrade to 1.1.1

ya that is what i ended up doing, virginizing. everything is working now. i am at 1.1.1 again. This was the first time that iTunes actualy recognized my iPhone as one it had synced with before and it restored all my data on my phone for me.

Not sure if I will go to 1.1.2 again. Maybe after the holidays
