Greetings GURUS: I installed Opera Mini Version 3.1 quite sometime back (about 1 year ago) and I have never been able to get my DASH working properly since this install. I tried uninstalling it, but was afraid because it took me about 3 weeks to get the proxy settings correctly in order to tether my laptop to the DASH for Internet access. Anyways, lately, I have not been able to properly install any programs on the DASH, and I think the root of the problem is OperaMini. I want to completely wipe the DASH and install all the new "bells and whistles" with WM6, GPS, GMAIL direct push, NES Emulator, $5.99 T-Mobile Internet (and the list goes on and on) My only concern are the proxy settings for laptop Internet tethering, everything else can be wiped. Will any of you help me make this IMPORTANT transition? thanks in advance!!

I saved all my contacts to my SIM, wrote down all my proxy settings and saved files I wanted to keep to my micro memory. I flashed my phone thru TMO website, I tried HTC's website, but was not able to flash it thru them. The flash took approximately 30 minutes and the steps were very easy to follow. I re-installed all my settings, contacts and I was able to get the right settings for $5.99 internet, push email (gmail) and everything works great! I didnt get much feedback/advise from this post, but I was able to do it on my own. If anyone has any questions, (especially newbies) feel free to ask me or PM me, take care!

Is it better to have Tmo Web or Tmo Internet when using a Dash?

I had the $20 dataplan with TMO, but I was able to use the proxy settings and now use t-zones, tether to laptop and able to surf all internet with the setting. My suggestion would be to use the proxy setting and save your money for a 6-pack or whatever! TMO internet speed is not fast (I get about 75kbps when tethered) but on the phone I can get about 300kbps, (dont know why such a difference) have fun!
