iPhone 1.0.2 on TMobile - Messaging Issues - help!

I've got 2 iPhones at 1.0.2 (mine and wife has one) that have been unlocked and are currently working on TMobile for the last 2-3 months. Both phones have TMobile's $19.99 unlimited internet data plan.

I'm having strange paging issues with both iPhones. If I send a message to my phone#@tmomail.net from say Gmail - I get the message no problem. If I send a message from work through one of my unix systems (email out to myphone#@tmomail.net), the message gets forwarded to my works Exchange 2000 (?) server and that just kicks it through a relay and the message arrives without any issues.

If I try and send an email from inside Exchange using Outlook (2003, 2007, and OWA have all been tried), I never receive the message. My work is adding a legal disclaimer to all email that originates in Outlook/Exchange, but that does not happen with the messages relayed through from unix.

I have a 3rd line on my TMobile plan that I am trying out a new phone - TMobile Shadow - and I am able to receive email messages on it from unix, from Gmail, and from Outlook/Exchange.

I want to use my iPhone for my work's on-call paging duty, but without successful emails sent to the iPhone from within Outlook/Exhcange, this can't happen.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

I have contacted TMobile, but they were not able to do anything to help me with this.

My email is formatted in Exchange under properties as such: SMTP:0000000000@tmomail.net (000's for my phone #).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, does anyone know if TMobile has a different email address suffix to send to that is just text? I know that AT&T has a different email address (@txt.att.net) that works.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks for taking the time to read this!

Thanks!

-DC
