ok guys, this was so easy its crazy, i got the nextel ringers installed on my iphone. If i did it, anyone can. Now, i dont think i needed to install step 2, but this is how i did it.

Step 1
Download the Nextel Stock Ringers 1-12 Below
http://www.geocities.com/djkonix/Nextel_Wav_Ringers.zip

step 2.
I went over to a site called switch, and converted these nextel ring tones from .wav to mp3. Very easy, instal program, ad nextel ringtone file, and then click on mp3 in the drop down window as the file type to convert to. When its done you should see a bunch of green check marks meaning it was successful. On my first time i saw a bunch of red x's, so i kept hitting convert and they all converted.

Step 3
This was so easy, I mean just download the program, open itoner, and then use the free trial. Click on the help notes, and it will guide you through it. This was so easy its crazy. At the end make sure you click on the home button on the fake iphone that comes up on your computer (not your actual Iphone) for the last step to start the sync. You will then go to your ring tones on your actual iphone and you will see all 12 nextel ring tones.

If you have any problems let me know.

Now we just gotta find a way to boost the volume on the iphone.

ok, i have found a small flaw in this install of nextel ringtones. May not be a big deal to you but i want a way to fix it. The keyboard click sounds are muffled for some reason they dont sound the same since i did the install . Anyone know why this would happen?

ok, i have found a fix for the muffled keyboard clicks. All you have to do is once you install your nextel ringers, and pick the one you like the most, reboot your iphone (power off and back on), and then just leave the ringtones alone, and it will be fine.

If you switch between nextel ringers, it will go back to being muffled, but if you switch from nextel ringer to normal iphone stock ringer, the keyboard clicks will be fine.

So if you pick a nextel ringer, reboot your phone and your keyboard clicks will sound normal.

Again, I'd just use iTunes - It saves you from installing any more apps on your computer.

If you use iTunes, you actually see a 'custom' ringtones section on your iPhone when selecting your ringtones, which is a plus.

The speakers are much amplified in FW 1.1.2 - There's also a patch that amplifies sound floating around.
