I have a iPhone in which I've had for a week or so. Its not really what I expected. I had a blackjack I, and loved it. Thanks in advance

If you liked the BJI you would love the Q9h.

really! I've been reading about it here on the forum. Only problem is I'm scared of the size. I love the size of my blackjack I

bump for opinions

I used the blackjack for a year. I liked it except for:

Picsel Viewer (default jpeg viewer and was way too slo)
Bluetooth stack (Voice Command wouldn't work over bluetooth)
Battery life (but with the extended battery it was OK and locked to GSM unless using data it was pretty good)

The blackjack II has a more attractive design, better battery life without having the bulk of the extended battery cover, GPS, Triband HSDPA, a faster processor, more memory I think, the bluetooth stack works correctly, no Picsel Viewer, faster HSDPA and I even like the jog dial being integrated into the dpad as you do not have to move your thumb to completely different places to switch between navigation modes. Now, the blackjack II has a couple of annoyances, but I chose it over the Duo and the Q9 for various reasons. I've played with the Tilt, but I prefer WM Standard. I'd recommend comparing the BJII and Q9. Some love the Q9. It certainly has a better keyboard, but it was too wide for my tastes and I prefer the feel of the blackjack II. Why not just go to a local store and play with the Tilt, BJII and Q9 and choose what works best for you?

I personally would go with Tilt, for a lot of reasons, but they are reasons that I find it favorable than the BJ2

I owned a BJ the reason I got it is because of video playback, I'm a fimmaker so i wanted to have a cellphone with a bigger screen that I can play back video, the Blackjack did the job, and did a lot more for me, texting, live search, appointment, etc. LOVE it (even had up upgraded to the latest leaked wm6).

However, when i found that that I can get the Tilt for the price of a BJ2 ($150), I decided to check it out more... I did about a month of research and finally made the plunge for one.

Needless to say, I do not regret it, I love the GPS thing, I don't care about wi-fi but it's there in case I need it...3g seems to run faster and most of all, it's touchscreen PLUS a bigger screen for video playback.

When I got my Tilt, I flashed it right away to the Dutty's tilt rom and can't complain, so far, I'm soo happy with it that I am almost wanting to buy another one (as long as I can get it cheap) for friends (as gift) hehe. That's how enjoyable I am with it.

I'm still new with Tilt, but as a pocket PC, it's almost like my laptop

So, my point is this, first figure out what you really want the cellphone to do, then to look at the different cellphones ie tilt or the bj2 and then see which fit you best.

The only beef I have with the Tilt is the metal case I brought for it, it's bulky and annoying but it does protect.

PS: The tilt uses the wm6 pro so you can actualy create files with office mobile, and I just like the tilting of the screen, everytime i open it, i get a lot of heads turn and look at it

I may try that tomorrow. I want the blackjack II since I was somewhat pleased with the bj I, but dont want to miss the better phone of the mq

im in the same dillema i'm leaning towards the tilt right now. I'm just warry of text messaging, lagging, and crashing. I liked the BJ2 but wasn't blown away with any of the features. I rather pick up a BJI off craigslist or something after I get a tilt!

I have the original blackjack, tilt, q9h and iphone. I know.. Im hopeless. Anyway, I find myself likeing form factor as a priority as long as there isn't a major feature sacrifice. I can do easily without wifi long as it's 3g. SO, the Tilt is rock solid.. (not a single freeze for me) It's build quality is top notch.. heavy.. it blows away it's brothers, the mogul and the verizon 6800. The Tilt streams my Orb tv the best....strong 3g reception without drop outs. However, it's a serious business phone and somewhat bland in style. The Blackjack is GREAT form factor but doesn't do full screen video on CV.. didn't crash on me.. smaller screen in general... and plasticy in build. Oh and btw, this so called lagging issue with the Tilt I don't understand. It is not annoying slow in any way that I see. It changes functions well.. starts and closes apps well. certainly a second or less. It's not snap immediate but sheesh... these people are splitting hairs on this! The Q9h is just as reliable as the Tilt IMO (no crashes) GREAT loud speakers.. small CV picture tho...streams Orb nicely.... very nice keyboard. SO.. bottomline IMO is form factor among these three. I might add that touch screen is very convenient for quick operation to fingernail a link. Form factor.. blackjack II features and build.. Tilt. In da middle Q9h..

Well I went with the BJ II, but I'm getn rid of it and maybe going for a tilt like I should have done in the beginning. Thanks once agan

What didn't you like about the BJ II? My friend said it was about the same as the original BJ, which was nice but had horrible reception. Is this fixed? I am deciding between a Tilt, BJII, or iPhone.

Between the BJII and the Tilt, it comes down to which features you want. The BJII does not have wifi, the Tilt does. The BJII does not have a touch screen, the Tilt does (may not seem like a big deal but it would be for me). The BJII has a better rated battery life. The BJII does not have voice dialing where the Tilt does. The BJII has the keyboard on the front, Tilt is a slide out. Those are pretty much the major differences between the phones. If I had to pick, I'd go with the BJII just because I cannot stand the slide out keyboards. I had and 8125 and I told myself it wouldn't be that big of a deal, I was wrong. I do quite a bit of texting and email and it became a real pain to constantly have to rotate my phone and slide out the keyboard. I have a Treo 750 and love it, I wish it had wifi but I can live without it. Here is a link to a side by side comparison of the BJII and the Tilt (also selected the Q9H): http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/co...4&id%5B%5D=1297
