Nokia E70-2 Memory Upgrade

One of the major gripes with the E70 has been lack of RAM. The E70 uses a Samsung K5E1G12ACM-S075 IC that includes both the ROM and RAM in a single chip. The current sizes are 1024Mbit of ROM (128MB) and 512Mbit (64MB) of RAM. One has to keep in mind that the ROM is the internal memory where the OS and apps are installed so a change in this IC would require getting the contents from the old IC to the new one.
Does anyone have experience with this or any knowledge that would be helpful? I'm an engineer and have no problems replacing the IC if I know which one to get, how to copy my data from the phone before the mod and then copying the data back to the phone when finished. Any ideas?
