Need Help - Stat!!!

IMPORTANT BACKGROUND INFO
1. Verizon contract ended (great network, poor phone selection)
2. Was previously Sprint but dropped bc felt NW was poor four-years ago, however w/mergers etc. much bigger better now...
3. I'm a physician - have been following HF community for insider/non-sales bias advice for years but dont post often due to lack of time and subject knowledge. Was invited to join Sero Sprint program for wife and I through work, then found signif. info. here.
TO THE POINT
1. Tried ordering online late into hrs last Sat. - just about to click finish {Sorry network will be down for mtc/upg for the next 7hrs} got back on in AM and my Phone+plan no longer existed.
2. Fortunately, was given Sero phone# to use ,if needed, bc I live 2hrs from nearest store. Called - explained the situation - was set-up with plans for wife and I. ** Then looked into Sprint Touch CPU specs. Ti-200mHz **
3. I use my PDA/pager mostly to look-up info. on drugs from Lg drug dbs (epocrates), billing codes from Lg dbs (CPT/ICD-9s), occasionally read about a Dz I haven't Dx/seen in awhile Lg db (5-min. Clinical consult).
4. I think you get the idea - I need phone/pager+PDA with speed and #crunch power. Called Sprint back few hrs to switch out the new Touch for the Mogul.
LONG STORY SHORTER
1. Mogul seems to be working ok but battery life sucks - will 2200 battery extender mess-up slide-out QWERTY?
2. I'm hearing a lot of talk about Mogul being "half-*****" and not working right from the beginning. Have these issues been corrected?
3. I've noticed the Touch has 128RAM (Mogul64) - is that going to help more in my case?? I thought I would need a stronger faster CPU to cross-reference data and pull it up from the MicroSD card extension card????
4. They also sent me 2 boxes Fed-ex overnight (1box Touch/accessories + Moto Q9c/accessories[Wife] , box2 - Just the same with a Mogul instead of Touch. What should I do???

As I mentioned 1. I have 2boxs with 4 sprint sero phones - any way to check their actual sero plan that was negotiated before they are activated? Are they activated?
2. Do I need stronger CPU or more Ram given my PDA uses?
3. Is there something signif. wrong with Mogul? Or is Touch just that much better? As I understand it, its just a GUI mask that I could slap on the front end of the Mogul if I wanted. True??
4. If i keep Mogul does the 2200Extender battery interfere with slide-out keyboard?
I'm under a significant time crunch - any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Desparate (still in massive debit ) young doc.

Just a quick FYI, seeing as I dont really know the mogul.. gonna leave that to someone that has that phone..

After reading what you will normally be doing with the phone, which is essentially wifi, info searching on w/e subject.. no matter what phone you take it will kill your battery, regardless of memory. Anything wifi sucks bat life hard. so good luck with that aspect. we all have to deal with it.

Memory is good. lots is better - IF and big IF you are multitasking. the 128 vs 64 MB there.. is kinda moot if you are only gonna use it for web for instance... more "would" be better but you honestly probably wont feel the diff. now if you were planning to watch a video, pull up a website and write out 4 emails all at the same time, then that would be where memory comes into play. best example i could give hehe :P

If you are gonna cross ref etc on documents, that would chew cpu power en lieu of ram power. it woud still use ram, but hit up your cpu much much more.

A quick htc verifition indicates that the Sprint versions of both phones are the same with:

Processor Qualcomm® MSM7500, 400MHz
Internal Memory 256 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM

(64 MB RAM in case of the mogul)

So tech side you are literally on the fence. multitasking the touch wuld pull ahead slightly due to the ram bein the only diff.

Personally tho, if you are going to web it a lot and type, go with the keyboard phones. The touch is effin annoying to type with it's virtual keyboard. (personally I find thats it's biggest downfall but some people love it. meh)

Hope that gives you a bit of info to help your decision. My choice by going with what you said would be the mogul tbh... only cuz typing with a full keyboard > all hehe
