Okay everyone, you have to cut me some slack as I am new to the Sprint/CDMA realm (still used to my SE t68i with AT&T). What is the best / most efficient way to download new polyphonic ringtones to my 8100 (i.e., download from a site then use a data cable, use Vision)? Are there any free sites out there or is that just a pipe dream?

there are free sites out there that let u get free ringtones (polyphonic). heres the link http://www.sprintusers.com/links/li...oncontent.shtml<---- has links to free sites. as far as ease of use it depends. if u want to spend money on a cable and the software go for it. but if u get unlimited vision plan you can get the ringtones games and applications, screensavers as well from any location as long as u have a signal and ur phone along with adaquate space for strorage on ur phone. i prefer the later of the 2.hope that helps in ur decision.

I haven't checked out that sprintusers link yet, but I do use http://www.3gvisioncorrection.com to send ringers, games, and screensavers to my phone. It works really well and you can send to multiple phones at the same time.
