Change Verizon Treo 700P housing?

I just bought a 700P off ebay and the case is a lil scratched up. I was wondering if its possible to buy a replacement housing and put it on myself? Would I just be able to go somewhere for that or can I just buy a defective verizon treo and take the housing off that and put it on mine? Thanks in advance.

i think it voids your warranty, but besides that it shouldn't be an issue, as long as you get another 700p, its all the same

I've done a housing swap on a 650, I wouldn't imagine it'd be too different on a 700P. The swap itself was stupid simple for the 650. I had way more problems with my MDA housing.

It'll definitely void your warranty. I got my housing off eBay. The 650 requires a Torx T5 screwdriver to disassemble it. Supposedly the 700P and 650's internals aren't too different, so if you get your hands on a 650 disassembly guide it should be fairly simple.

he got it on ebay, there for he has no warrenty (with vzw any way,) so it's all good.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement housing by any chance, I looked on ebay but they only had housings for a 650.

Check ebay. I've done this numerous times, just search for "treo 700 housing". Expect to spend $30-$50 though :/
