Videora SUCKS! Whoever suggested that I don't know what your were thinking:

Transformers 2007 avi 900mb once it converted to mp4 it was 860mb. That's not the point of compression.

What is handbrake? what other free software is there to convert video to mp4 that will work with iphone/ipod??????????????

Handbrake is a great (and little) program that converts DVDs to MPEG4 formats. it's available in both Mac and PC flavors.

This one is pretty good, pretty limited feature set, it just works. It is way quicker than Videora, I was able to convert 44min episodes of Twin Peaks from Divx to Mp4 in about 20 mins.

I have been using 1Click dvdtoiphone and is does what its name states. Converts DVD's to MP4's with 1 click and is very fast. I converted several 90-120 minute movies in less about 20 minutes each. Quality and sync was great. Does allow for customizing, but the 1 click works so good there is no need.

Another vote for Handbrake.....it was the first app I tried and worked perfect first time and every time.....the transfers look flawless on my iPhone. I did Aliens and Monty Python Holy Grail so far.....

Mactheripper is also very good. The 'paid donation' will copy any DVD.

i use videora H.264 480x320 384kbps Stereo/128kbps
Ep 180mb converted to 90mb

i love using the Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite

i usually convert all my avi/mpeg/vob files to mp4, 30fps, 320 x 480 pixels
