Touch: Quadband or not?

I keep seeing people say it's quadband but when I look up specs from HTC they say Triband.....

It took me a long time to come to this conclusion, but the GSM Touch and Touch Enhanced are quadband. These phones are based on the Texas Instruments TCS3500 chipset which is composed of there components: the OMAP 850 digital baseband chip, the TWL3027 analog baseband chip, and a RF transceiver chip. More details can be found here:

The TWL3027 chip sits between the OMAP850 and the RF transceiver and is designed for quadband communications. This is shown in the diagram on page 24 of the PDF document.

I saw one document, which I can't find at the moment, that showed the 850MHz and 900MHz bands using the same input on the TWL3027 chip which may have some consequence when both bands are available; in practice this may not be a concern to the typical user.

definitely quadband as turley says.....htc won't admit it most likely having to do with contracts with tmobile. I'm not sure, just my guess.
