screen time

I have a question - considering getting an 8100 - When you close the phone - the little screen with the time and whatever picture you have on it - can it stay on all the time? Will it be bright without dimming? How does this effect battery life? I want to have something that I can see the time without touching the phone. Thought it might be better at it than the 4900.

Also - the 8100 does not have the instant touch voice memo recording does it?

Thanks -

Okay, follow these steps if you want your SUB-LCD to always stay on.

GO TO SETTINGS>DISPLAY>BACKLIGHT>SUB LCD>ALWAYS ON

THEN.....

GO TO SETTINGS>SLEEP MODE>SUB LCD>OFF

This will always leave your Sub LCD on all the time. Of course your BATT life won't last that long. GOOD LUCK. late -wU

It is kind of hard to read unless you get up close to it, but why is it that you cant touch it? All you have to do to brighten up the screen is hit the volume button on the side
