Ok, I recently got the HTC touch (vogue) from sprint. It is a pretty cool phone but kinda sluggish at times I have read about many people givin the phone a little boost using battery status to overclock it. Well, I get the bright idea to dl and install battery status. I install the proggie and all is well. I run it and all is well. Then I enter the options menu jus bein nosey to see what kind of settings you can adjust using it, and then my phone freezes. It wont power down (using the power button on the top) so I take the battery out and put it back in and it boots up but freezes no right after it (seemingly, I don't really know what it boots first, but I am guessing) loads my theme, the clock and voicemail items. It does this everytime I try to reboot it. And of course it will only power down by removing the battery.....please tell me that I didn't just ruin my brand new phone........
I will find a site to host the file as soon as I get home (in ~45mins) so if anyone could take a look and give me some ideas as what I can do to resolve this I would appreciate it. TIA.

Well, it looks like the gods smiled upon me today.......
After removing the battery 5-6 times and then softbooting the phone 3-4 times it finally completely booted up and I immediately removed battery status. Dumb luck it seems. I won't b tryin that one again. I have sync'd the phone multiple times so my contacts were saved, I jus didn't want to go through the trouble of going to the damn sprint store and waiting for a new phone........
Thanks for lookin.

i had this same problem with battery status. locked it up after going into the options menu. restarts didnt do anything, it locked up on start up. kept the battery out all day until i was able to get to the sprint store and when i popped the battery back in when i walked into the store, it booted up fine. i immediately uninstalled the battery status and its worked great ever since.

I guess it just doesn't work well with our phones, possibly newer than some of the others that got it to work properly. I thought I really screwed up, did it hours after getting the phone, but luckily it finally booted up again and I haven't tried it since.
