Still waiting on repair phone

Well, my 2nd replacement P800 is on the way. The one consolation *MIGHT* be that it's got new firmware. Who knows. My first replacement had the phone essentially die (stop transmitting / getting a signal), but the PDA was fine. In hindsight, I should have just popped it open to see if the antenna jiggled off the PCA. Oops.

Anyway, they're sending it back to me express saver - 3 day service. Won't get it until May 2nd (!). Gak. At least I'll get it before my next biz trip. This turn-around took about 2 weeks all total.

They didn't have to - it was a brand-spankin'-new phone, for sure. The one I sent in was a pre-production with a broken keypad - totally different plastics, etc. I don't think there's much "repair" to these things. They probably swap out with new or refurbished ones, and send returned units over to the other side for refurbishment (swap out a board, fix the screen, etc..)
