motorola q question....about volume...

my mom accidently turned her volume off on the motorola q9. and now we cant figure out how to turn the volume back up. and the phone wont ring, just goes straight to voice mail when calling. where in the menu do you go to ringer volume or just total phone volume?

Did she switch the Profile to "Silent"? If the Profile isn't on the home screen, try going to Start-> System Tools-> Settings-> Profiles and see what it is set to.

dial a call and then use the side buttons for volume.

Or you could hold the home button and make sure you have it set for normal or outdoor or whatever mode suits your needs.

Start->Settings->Profiles, then highlight the profile, hit the Menu softkey, then Edit and change the ring volume level.

There is a user guide and also a quick start guide that came with the phone. Or you could view the user guide online here.

Also check the actual volume setting by pressing and holding the smart button (in between the up and down arrow buttons on the right side) for a second and the volume will show up on the screen. Use the arrow keys to set it.

I learned that from reading the manual last night.

Sounds like she turned off the phone radio. Go into Wireless Manager and make sure it is enabled.
