Hey Guys, my name is Josh and i am new here to Howard Forums. I have expierience with Tmobile and a bunch of their phones. I have used many programs to change their aspects including P2ktools, motoskin, p2kcommander, and many others. I am new to Windows Mobile. I have used Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, and im not sure if there is much of a difference.
I live in RI. My occupation is Quality Control Inspector / Site Technician. I like cars and electronics, not only electronic devices but circuits and components too. I build circuit prototypes, i can code with Visual Basic, and im trying to learn C when i can find the time.
I just got a Tmobile Shadow for Xmas and i love the thing to death. I am interested in the programs and apps that you guys use on windows mobile so that i can install them to my shadow.
As far as a few questions go, I have internet connectivity but the internet explorer on my device will not save any of the pictures from a web page on to my 2GB storage Card, or the device for that matter. Is this possible? maybe an installed application is the answer?
Also looking for some way to load and play Flash videos on my device right off of a web page.
Thanks again guys, and nice to meet you all!

Hmm strange, that is the exact question I wanted ask. I have a 710 Pro unlocked unbranded, and when on Windows Mobile there is no way to "right click" to download an image. I am not impressed with Windows Mobile and their browser.
A separate issue is, I also have a 2G card in the phone and the phone does not seem to "see" it, and after installing the card it should have been formatted, there is nothing in the instructions on how to do this

I am going to answer my own question:
It seems that as far as I know there is no way to download an image off the internet using the IE that comes with WM6. I did, however, download a trial version of Opera Windows Mobile Browser and that does easily let one downlaod images by changing to "image mode" and then selecting the jpg that you want and saving to file or as a wallpaper!!! Stupid microsoft!

Ok, it seems that through playing around with this thing, i find that the only way a picture will save is if the picture is not a link. So any pictures that you "click to enlarge" will have to be followed first so you can save the picture as the end result.
Hope this helps.
BTW, I think this phone is pretty *****in myself!

As far as the memory card goes, i installed mine and there was no response, the only way to get to it was to look through "file explorer" or after a picture is taken, you can move the picture to a folder on the card. But again, this was me playing with the thing, i like to learn from experience, not textbooks.
You can try setting the default location for pictures and such to this directory after you find it with file explorer.

hey another moto modder!
opera mobile allows you to download images as drp stated.
i am satisfied using opera mobile compared to IE.
some people have been ableto make opera mini work on WM phones but i never looked into it.
the reason im saying this is because on my previous phones that i have ran opera mini i been able to easily download images and is free of charge.
