Cookies Clear? V3

I have a RAZR V3 that is one of the older ones. When I power off the phone it automatically clears all my cookies. So any WAP sites are reset to their cookie-less condition.

Any idea what would cause the phone to do this? The cookies only last until I power cycle, which is very annoying.

T-Mobile support told me this is normal on the old silver RAZR. I dont believe them.

It is normal as there is no provision in the memory for storing cookies. It will eat up memory if they are left on the phone. System files are set to erase all temp files and cookies involved with the browser to save space. Most older razr has 2-3 mb of open space. cookies in a a matter of days would use it up.

A family member has a new Pearl Gray RAZR V3 that is a few days old. It holds all the old cookies after shut down. It has much newer software and I am sure faster hardware. So maybe it supports this?

Also, why would they add a clear cache, clear history, clear cookies option to the phone even tho it clears them at power cycle?

My silver RAZR has 7MB of total phone space. My famil members gray pearl RAZR shows only 3MB of space, yet it stores cookies.

Thanks for your help. This has been bugging me.
