Hey!

So I am new to this whole modding/hacking phones. I haven't done it before, none of it lol. But I am wondering and have a question to ask. First, I have a razr2 v9m from Bell. Now, could I flash or .. (flex?) my phone so it has more features and stuff in it, and configure it to work with Bell once I have done that?

If someone could, guide me in the direction of what to do if this is possible?

Thanks;

Unfortunately since the v9m is both a new model and CDMA version.

There is very little you can do to it as unlike GSM phones software is properity to Bell and it can not be unlocked only programmed to different providers.

You will probably have to wait upto 6 months before enough is developed about the phone allow changes.

For now there is very littleyou can do to it.

LIES!! There is a monster out already for the V9m. Unlocking it would be as easy as flashing it and editing the seems (not very easy).

V9ms freeze on seem edits, so you have to pull the seems out, edit it, reinsert the seems, and verify.

Flashing it is easy, just use PST. PST has things where you can save the NAM, ERI, PRL, etc. So back up your data (some from the seems) and then flash it. After you flash, you restore from your backups and you're set.

If you need help, I can generally give you a tip here and there. I flashed my k1m for the 5th time tonight, AFTER acquiring my Shared Secret Keys. Just need to test something with Verizon tomorrow to verify my flashing worked.

Please be CAREFUL what you suggest... You are a VERIZON user.. their V9M is restricted due to the Verizon UI and BREW.

Bell on the other hand uses the Moto UI and JAVA.. there really is no need to do anything to a BELL phone, other than add any additional JAVA apps/games you want.

Same holds true for TELUS. (but Telus users may need the "apply as ringtone" seem edit).

Additionally, each of the CDMA firmwares work a little differently when it comes to data authentication... so suggesting someone CROSS FLASHES is NOT always a good idea, unless you know their carrier, their firmware, and how to make things TOTALLY WORK for them. i.e. the monster process for making the US Cellular firmware work on Verizon's network may NOT be the same to make the US Cell work on BELL's...

Finally, there is NO BELL V9M Monster firmware, or even Upgrade firmware leaked to flash back to. So you're suggesting a ONE WAY TRIP!!!
