(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just got a tilt and I'm looking to get a memory card for it. Is the 8925 compatible with MicroSD HC cards? I'm wanting to put a 8GB card in it, but if not I'll go with 2GB.

Posted by: pg1

Just wanted to know, does really works the 6 or 8 GB in the Tilt because I got 2GB and is almost full, 300MB left so I was thinking to get one of this. Anybody have any comments about it!

Also, it's SD 2.0 spec compatible so it's supposed to mean HC compatible, hopefully up to 32GB.

Find a fast, cheap Kingston, or such, for yourself.

I paid $65 plus shipping on Amazon a couple of weeks ago for a Sandisk 6GB.

btw its microSDHC (no space). I got my 4gb for $43 shipped.

Posted by: pg1

Thanx guys, anything on 8, before I go for the last bet

Posted by: wazitup

i have seen only 1 and 2 gb micro sd

Posted by: pg1

Google 8GB microSD and you will see a lot of link about it, imaging the Tilt support up to 32GB thats a portable hardrive!

Yes 2gb microSD, but microSDHC (same form factor different hardware) are common in 4 and 6gb (I haven't seen an 8gb, but I haven't really looked either).

Posted by: dosto

Just got my 8 gb microsdhc today and works fine in my tytn II.

Posted by: pg1

can you tell me how much and where did you get it for!

Posted by: dosto

ebay, ordered dec 17, shipped dec 19 from HK, x square online, 89.99 US$ + 14$ shipping

Posted by: cubangt

would anyone know if the larger 4gb, 6gb and 8gb work on the TYTN(Hermes)

girlfriend got the phone lastweek and now wants something larger than 2gb...

Posted by: simbadogg

the phone officially supports all sizes up to 32 gb...though there's nothing that big on the market yet.

Posted by: Yudso

Any idea when 16gb will be available?

Posted by: simbadogg

no idea, but sandisk just released their 12gb today

Posted by: alex_isdead

Do the micro SDCH only work on certain phones? I been wondering if it would fit the htc 6800.....

They work. I have a 4gb sdhc card in my tilt right now, planning to get the 8gb one this week because my 4gb one is almost full. tomtom is dreamy!

Check the product compatibility here if ur not sure

When it comes. I'm sure they'll milk the sizes in between until they get to 32GB.

I have a 8GB sandisk micro sdhc working on my ATT WM6 8525 (hermes-tytn). $93 at local verizon store.

Are there any fake microSD around? Just a bit wary of buying from ebay. Can't find 8GB locally yet. Or has anyone seen it on sale in Canada?

Those who bought the 8GB from ebay, have you tested it yet? Are they genuine? Current batch of SanDisk 8GB should be very fast despite the Class 4 label. Most test showed 15MB/s write speed. So writing (not reading) 1GB file to the microSD should take slightly more than 1 min.

If you're on WM6 then yes. No if it's WM5.

i just updated it to wm6 - so this phone only supports 2gb ?

wow that sucks.

Posted by: Slylikeafox87

I just looked into the specs a bit and seems like most places agree that it's only expandable up to 2 gigs
Sucks buddy, if only it was SD 2.0 compatible eh?

WM6 gives it the drivers to work. So it can take up to 32GB. WM5 didn't have the proper drivers.

The biggest that's out right now is 8GB with 12GB and 16GB expected in a few months.

Here's some more reading if you're not convinced, but it does work.

Go to the file manager and it should be called "Storage Card", shown by a folder.

I haven't checked them. I got mine from the states. SoftPocket.ca has it I believe, which is a store downtown. But their price is higher (although it's completely legit with warranty). Otherwise you can wait for some place like CanadaComputers to get it.

Posted by: Slylikeafox87

Thanks for the info, ill just use a 2 gig until it becomes available at a store where i can get a sweet discount on muhahaha

Posted by: JwY

You're welcome.

Or you could always wait for the 12GB or 16GB.
