Haha, I got my 4th one today and the axcess apps on the phone wouldn't work at all. Alltel opened up a trouble ticket becuase all the other 8600's in the store were doing the same thing. The Moto's and other LG's worked.

I just switched from an LG VX3300 (Verizon) to a Samsung A650.

The first battery in the LG didn't last a year, nor did the second one. It'd also get really hot while being used.

I could almost always hear people just fine, even when they said I was cutting out.

There's NO ringtones, wallpaper or anything available for the VX330, so no reason to get a data cable, unless you get Susteen DataPilot to use it as a modem. SnapDialer does not support the VX3300.

Haha, Thank the Lord! My 4th 8600 has been resetting when i receive texts so Alltel let me switch to a different model. Now I have a Moto Rokr. Yes, i don't have to deal with that P.O.S. LG again.

well I feel better now that I know it wasnt just the Verizon version that was a dud. man what a problematic phone

Posted by: colin!

everybody at telus talks about how reliable and problem-free it is too...
pffffffffff.

I don't think LG has any quality control. I have friends on both Verizon and Alltel that have the same problems with the 8600.

I my LG Shine VX8700. I've had it for two months now, no hassles, no problems, battery lasts almost two weeks between charges, looks good...I can exchange and port in/out apps, ringtones and internals nicely with BitPim.

My only rant is if you drop it once your finish is toast so I periodically check it and softly brush out fine scratches with a (fine) Scotch Brite pad.

I've never posted anything before.......I don't know where else to go I just got my Lg Lx5450 in Dec. I was at the docs the other day and shut down the volume so it would be quiet and vibe if a call came in. Now it's stuck on silence all I've done all I can through the settings etc. My son can't even get it nor find anywhere to default it back to facory setting. Can anyone help??? is there any reset spot I'm not finding??? Thank you in advance!!!!

Hold the * key down for 3 seconds. If it doesn't say "normal" after this, then you will need to go into "Sound Settings", under the "Settings&Tools" menu, and see if there is an option to turn off the "Call Vibrate" feature from there.

I'm glad you were able to get it working again. If you ever need an answer immediately, don't hesitate to call LG's customer service dept. They have been very helpful to me on the two or three times that I've had to call them.

I loved some of the features on my 8600 for Alltel, but I had to bring it in to replace it for the 3rd time in 8 months the other day. Rather than swap my phone about for another 8600 though, they gave me an AX565 for free. I absolutely love it. It has everything the 8600 had (minus the stupid errors and problems) and much more (FM transmitter, improved music, headphone jack, chat texting etc.). I'd recommend anyone not satisfied with their 8600 ask to switch it out under the store manager's discretion.

Oh, I almost forgot... YOUTUBE! The AX565 can stream all videos from YouTube, download images off the mobile web, and a lot more that many midrange phones don't offer.

I had a LG 8100 for a while. The first one I had i ended up falling on it and breaking the internal screen so I ended up getting a replacement from visa (love purchace protection) and the new one wouldnt charge for about the first 3 months, so I had to use the broken screen phone to charge the battery. Then I finally got the software upgrade to atcually let the phone charge, 7 months later, the battery only lasts around 15 mins of talk time, so I replaced the battery, and it didnt solve the problem. Of course by that time, the warranty was over and they wanted an arm and a leg to fix it, so I said forget you guys, and upgraded to a blackberry, havent had a problem since.

With the Voyager being close to $500, they could've at least done a good job with the hinge, instead of just carrying over the one from the enV. That seems to be a common failing point for the Voyager. And I don't know who should take the blame for this, but the T9 dictionary is pathetic and buggy, not to mention cannot be edited.

no we dont.

LG is ***! ^.^ honestly, i even tell my customers I refuse to sell them an LG.

when they ask why, I reply "because while we like seeing out customers come back, we only want to see you once every three years with a smile on your face, if you buy that phone I will see you back here within a month and I well get to tell you that there is nothing I can do but swap it for the same model within 30 days or send it out for repair until the warranty expires. do not buy that phone"
