Backup V3m?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I hacked someones Verizon V3m to generic firmware and its great.

Now my mother is complaining about her Sprint V3m.... so I want to do the same thing.

Only thing is I can't loose the phonebook. So how can I backup the V3m Sprint CDMA before hacking it and how do you restore it?

Also any way to backup pictures taken on the phone (wallpaper) and how to restore?

You can backup both the phonebook and images with Motorola Phone Tools. You can also use bitpim to backup the images, and then PST to backup the phonebook.

PST and BitPim are your best bets. PST pulls it straight off your phone and lets you view which slots are which contacts in, in pretty much a worksheet (excel). BitPim also can pull them off your phone, but in a different manner. Images, you'll either have to save to the memory card, or else just use BitPim/P2kCommander for that.
