What is the difference between master clear and master reset? I have SLVR L7C and if I sell to a new owner, what I need to do to clear/reset it to factory settings, i.e., deleting all my phonebook, pics, downloaded mp3, songs, and videos, including my own active phone line?
Please tell me what I need to do before selling to a new owner.

Thank you .

Master Clear will remove your phone book, downloaded ring tones, wallpaper, etc. Master reset changes all menus back to factory defaults.

Neither master clear or reset will remove your phone number from the phone. You'll have to get into the programming menu to do that. If your carrier locks their phones, you'll have to get their help to access the programming menu.

Uh... No. If your carrier locks your phone and you want to remove all the info associated with the phone, simply get into PST. Open up new windows for NAM and select WRITE TO PHONE without editing any of it. It'll put in a blank NAM and you should be set.
