How can I tell if a Motorola L6 is unlocked?

I have two Motorola L6 phones, and I know I unlocked one of them with codes given to me from AT&T, but I can't remember which one. They both appear the same. How can I tell if one is unlocked?

find a friend with a tmobile phone and ask to borrow their sim card

That's problematic. Was hoping there was some info screen on the phone that I could access that would show the information.

you can download Triplets Tool Compilation, its a P2K program with a sim lock status display. Several Moto modding sites have it hosted. It works with all P2K phones, not just Triplets
