I’ve been having a problem with my voice mail. Sometimes it will alert me when there is a voice mail. And some times it wont alert me, even though that a voice mail has been left, this happen to anyone else, or is there a setting that I messed with that I should not have.

read about it, it's never a problem with the phone (unless you got a text message and didn't know the difference) call in they'll transfer you and they'll fix it.

I tried to look in the book, but nothing about it. and what did you mean give them a call?

Call SPRINT *2, but make sure you have a 2nd phone handy thet'll change something then tell you to take off your battery, then call *720 then you get an indicator.

Ok I found out what the problem was, it will not let you know of a new voice mail if there was a voice mail that have not been checked yet in your box. It will let you know the first new voice mail that you get, and then after that it wont let you know unless you save or delete the first voice mail. Some one else try this, and see if it does it for your phone as well.

This is true for all Sprint phones. I received a voicemail alert on my a500 after a call I didn't care about, and rather than listening to the voicemail, I simply cleared the icon. Then, stupidly, I forgot I'd done it. For the next two days, whenever I saw a "missed call" icon on my display, it wasn't accompanied by a voicemail alert -- I wondered why no one was leaving me voicemails.

I finally checked my voicemail at random a few days later, and found twelve messages waiting for me.

Moral of the story: Don't manually clear your VM icon unless you know you've checked your voicemail.

Actually not all sprint phones do that, I had one of that cheaper Samsung phones (don’t remember the model #) before the 8100, and it would let me know of a new voice mail even if I had a uncheck voice mail from before.
