Is there something im missing? ive use audacity to change music formats, yet MT says mp3 is not a supported format. No image is successfully transfered, and i cannot see the phone in my device list once connected. Am i missing something? am i not supposed to able to customize my phone despite the labeling on the pacakge? |

When I open MPT it never goes Ready. It always says initializing.
1. Make sure you have run the Live Updater. Menus, Setup, Live Update
2. If there are no further updates for PhoneTools available, check that the phone is installed in the Control Panel as a modem. Windows XP: Start, Control Panel, Phone and Modem Options(you might see Printers and Other Hardware, then Phone and Modem Options), select the Modems tab. our mobile phone connection should be listed here as a Motorola USB Modem If it is not, you may need to contact your phone manufacturer for a driver or help installing the phone.
3. Make sure the phone is turned on and active, and is connected to the computer. You may want to reboot the PC and recycle the power on the phone as this sometimes resolve the initialization issues.
4. Using the Device Configuration Wizard, make sure the PhoneTools is set to the correct driver. Menus, Setup, General Setup, Communication tab, select Change Modem, click Next, make sure your modem is selected and click Next, check 'Do not automatically detect the driver. Select from a list.' and click Next, choose the correct Manufacturer and Model for you phone and click Next, click Finish. In General Setup, Communication, check the Exclusive Use box, answer yes to the window that appears, and click OK at the bottom.

I can't seem to find any detailed instructions on how to do this? I know there has to be a way to do it without actually dialing into an access number. Anyone know how this is done?
