i already actually bought my iphone from an apple store, but i havent got on itunes yet to activate it or anything.

I plan on getting a free phone/contract online 1st so i can have a backup phone or maybe one i plan on selling later (probably a backup incase something happens to my iphone)

but AT&T offers a bunch of diff free phones..

which one should i pick as far as being the best phone and also something that will sell good on ebay if i decide to.

1. LG CE110
2. Pantech C150
3. Sony Ericsson Z310a
4. Motorola RAZR v3 *
5. Nokia 6126
6. Nokia 2610

* - the RAZR actually costs $50 but you get a $50 mail in rebate, not an instant rebate.. which id rather not pay $50 right away, so if another phone hold up against this one id rather go with the other one... but if the RAZR is worth it to wait for the mail in rebate over the other phones then ill get it.

What are the top 2 choices out of those phones? Im thinking the RAZR and the Nokia 6126 maybe?

Oh also another quick questoin... can i not use my iphone at all till i get on itunes and sign up for a contract or what? i turn it on and it says to connect to itunes, but i dont wanna do that and have to sign up before i do it online and get my other phone 1st. I want to be able to mess around with the iphone tho like add music and such.

the nokia 2610 seems kinda cheap.. the other one seems good tho but im not sure.

If you're at all thinking of resale, then do what I did. Bought a Blackjack II for $99 with two year contract. Selling for around 250 on eBay now. Nice markup, but you gotta do two years.

I was in your exact position, I chose the refurbished Pearl 8300, and just sold it on ebay for $377, so after the auction fees paypal fees, my iphone cost me $100!!

i just went ahead and got the nokia 6126 since it cost me nothing. My cousin is a manager at an AT&T store and said he can get me another phone if i wanna switch that one out.

i basically just want something thats worth the most, but more so just a backup phone for my iphone if something happens to it so im not stuck without one.
