v3re frozen

my brother got a new v3re back in dec. he wanted me to back it up in case he wanted to mod it. the backup wasnt successful but the phone went back to normal until 2 days later when he said it started acting funny. he turned it off but couldnt get it to come back on. i took the batterry out for a while, put it back in and now when you press the power button it vibrates all of a sudden, the keypad lights up, the hellmoto splash screen shows up then freezes completely. the keypad then goes off but the screen stays frozen. the phone wont even charge now. the phone is still under warranty of course if it was i who screwed it up, then hes screwed because they wont exchange it. anyone know what i can do to fix this?

been to 2 forums already and no one has answered/helped me. havent had it very long. hasnt been 30 days yet. just going to send it back for replacement. i hope. thanks anyway.

Did you get it from Motorola or a carrier?
